Quality and Confidentiality
Quality control
When it comes to translation, skilled personnel are in charge. Competent, well-informed and responsible translators and editors are the backbone of any translation bureau and in this, Language Link is no exception.
However, it is also impossible to run a successful and competitive translation company without a well-functioning team of administrative staff.
Here at Language Link we strive to run our business in accordance with the highest international and European standards.
We are well acquainted with the regulations of ISO 9001:2008 and the European translation standard EN 15038:2006. One of our longest-standing clients in Russia is the company TÜV Internazional RUS, a member of the TÜV Rheinland Group for whom we have provided written translation and interpretation in the field of certification and quality management audits for many years.
European clients require us to comply with standard EN 15038. The main regulations of this standard are as follows: 1) a translator should translate into their native language, 2) the principle of “four eyes,” which means that all written translation must be verified by another translator/editor.
We plan to obtain ISO and European translation standard EN 15038 certification.
At our company we have implemented an automated quality control system which is based on the major components of ISO and EN 15038. With the help of this system it is possible to keep a log of orders, manage the progress of a project, compile a list of errors and keep a productivity record for each employee. This system also has a CRM module which allows us to optimise relations with our clients.
Technology: SDL Trados
Language Link Translation Bureau is constantly investing resources in advanced technology and staff training. We utilise SDL Trados, Passolo and MultiTerm. These products have received widespread recognition and are distributed worldwide.
Such specialised programmes enable us to provide high-quality translation, keep to tight deadlines and guarantee continuity and uniformity of vocabulary and terminology throughout a project regardless of its size. They also facilitate the creation of client-specific terminological databases and translation memory files.
Policy of confidentiality
Regardless of the nature of the translation, whether it is a tender bid, a contract, a property evaluation or personal correspondence, Language Link is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of both the customer and the documents being translated.
To ensure confidentiality we have developed and apply the following security measures:
- Liability: all employees, whether permanent or freelance sign a non-disclosure agreement which covers all the information that they receive during their work.
- Anonymity: a client may request that their documents be treated in this way: the name of the company, names of personnel, descriptions of equipment and other confidential information may all be excluded from the original text.
- Limited access to a document from receipt to completion: thanks to the settings of our self-contained local area network, the only person who has access to a document is the person working on it at that time. At the client’s request, all information will be removed from our server once their order has been completed and any hard copies will be returned to the client.
